The setup is the same for all six treatments, at Casa Botica and at your hotel, villa or Airbnb. Your therapist brings the whole kit with her, so you do not have to borrow a table or dig up towels from housekeeping.

A few treatments bring more. Four Hands and Couples Massage arrive with two therapists, and Couples adds a second table. At Casa Botica the room is ready before you walk in. If we come to you, clear about 3×2 m of flat floor, roughly a double bed plus space to walk around it.
Common questions
Relaxing Massage is the classic: long, flowing strokes that slow the whole body down, nothing more layered than that. Botica Massage is our signature, and it does more. Swedish strokes, lymphatic drainage and deep tissue pressure in one session, with cold-pressed oils from the Riviera Maya. Every session starts with a short conversation so your therapist can adjust the pressure and oils to how you feel that day. Choose Relaxing for simple and unhurried. Choose Botica Massage when you want the fuller treatment.
The treatment isn't fixed in advance. Your therapist starts with a short conversation about where you're holding tension, any past injuries and how much pressure you like, then builds the session from that. There's no set combination of techniques the way there is with Botica Massage. It changes with what your body needs that day, which makes it a good place to start if you're not sure what to choose.
Every pregnancy is different, so tell us when you book that you're expecting and how far along you are. Your therapist will adjust the position, pressure and which areas she works on to fit you that day. If anything feels uncertain, check with your doctor before you book.
If your skin is red, hot or sore to the touch, give it a day or two. Oil and pressure on a fresh burn hurts, and your therapist won't work over burned skin. If it's just your shoulders or the backs of your legs, tell us when you book. She'll work around that area and give the rest of your body the full session.
Cancel 24 hours or more before your appointment and there's no charge. Cancel with less notice and the deposit isn't refunded. If you just need to reschedule instead of cancel, we can move your appointment up to 6 hours before at no charge. We ask for a deposit because people sometimes book and don't show, and by then we've already held your slot and paid the therapist to be there, whether the client arrives or not. Botica works by appointment only, not as a walk-in spa, so that deposit is what protects the time we set aside for you.
A payment link, Stripe, Mercado Pago, bank transfer or cash, whichever is easiest for you. We accept both US dollars and Mexican pesos.
No. Botica Spa is a professional massage spa, and that's not a service we offer. It would be illegal in Mexico, and it's not what our therapists are trained or certified to do. What you get here is real therapeutic and relaxation work, nothing else.
We don't share photos of our therapists. This is physical, therapeutic work, and it has nothing to do with appearance. What we can tell you is what each therapist is best at: one specializes in deep tissue, another in relaxation, another does a bit of everything well. Tell us what you're looking for and we'll match you with the right hands, not a headshot.
It depends on the treatment, but you always get a choice: cream or oil. We lean toward cream, and if you'd rather have oil, we carry an unscented coconut oil.
Sweat keeps the cream or oil from spreading evenly. It can turn into an odd, gritty mix on the skin instead of gliding the way it should. Coming in freshly showered makes the whole session smoother.
